Activity Time
1 - 1.5hr
Materials
Digital, Google Doc, Filled out Research Questionnaire - One for every stakeholder you want to interview
Participants
One or two internal team project members

Every interview is unique and will bring new insights to your project, but having a template to get you started on the more commonly asked questions will save time and cover the bases for you.

Instructions

  1. First, you should write out a description of the project and the goals from a perspective that your interviewee will understand and resonate with. This is where you can explain why you’re asking to talk with them and how they will make the project better.
  2. Next, fill in the facts, objectives, emotions, and ideas with questions you created in your Research Questionnaire. We added a few to get you started.
  3. Remember to ask at the end of the interview if there was anything they wanted to say that hasn’t been covered – they may have been waiting for the right time to tell you something.
  4. Lastly, thank your interviewee and give them a form of contact if they want to reach out with more information or questions.
