IA Lenses are a tool developed by Dan Brown that help you to craft better information architecture by assessing your ideas through a series of “lenses” or questions, like “How does time of year affect the structure?” or “How could this be expressed in simpler terms?” The idea is to pick a few at random to prompt your thinking and discuss with others.
These cards are a worthy investment, but you can also make your own “lenses” for a variety of situations – what questions do you want to ask yourself each time you design an interface or develop a research plan?
